Malabar

Malabar

Malabar draws from the dense beauty and layered character of India’s Spice Coast—a landscape shaped by monsoon rain, tropical abundance and centuries of cultural exchange.

Aromatic cardamom and iris open the fragrance before black pepper cuts through a heart of violet. Musk, sandalwood and leather form a warm, grounded base that remains close to the skin.

Spiced, woody and quietly magnetic. The Spice Coast, carried into scent.

From Green Spice to Worn Leather

Malabar develops through a gradual deepening of texture. Cardamom introduces a cool aromatic lift, softened by the powdery elegance of iris. Black pepper then brings clarity and warmth to the heart, while violet adds a muted floral quality rather than overt sweetness.

As the fragrance settles, sandalwood creates a smooth, woody foundation. Musk draws the composition closer to the body, while leather leaves behind a dry, enduring character—distinctive, grounded and quietly sensual.

Composed with intention, carried in plant-derived oil and consciously formulated to be vegan, cruelty-free and without alcohol, parabens, phthalates, nitro musks, formaldehyde or PFAS.

The Coast That Met the World

For centuries, the ports of Malabar connected India with traders, travellers and cultures arriving across the Arabian Sea. Pepper and cardamom moved outward from the coast, while new languages, customs and ideas became part of life within it.

This history of exchange gave Malabar a character that is both deeply rooted and open to the world. Its culture was never fixed; it grew through encounters, absorbing influence without losing its identity.

Malabar carries that same duality. Familiar spices are placed within an unexpected composition of iris, violet, sandalwood and leather—cultural memory translated through a contemporary, global point of view.

Under the Monsoon Canopy

Malabar moves with depth. Along India’s southwestern coast, the Arabian Sea meets a landscape of laterite earth, dense vegetation and rain-fed hills. The monsoon arrives not as a passing season, but as a force that transforms the colour, scent and rhythm of the region.

The fragrance interprets this atmosphere through contrast: luminous iris against dark spice, soft violet against the weight of woods and leather. Rich without becoming heavy, it evokes green air, rain-darkened earth and the lingering warmth that follows a tropical storm.
