Shaivism 02 is an unframed contemporary Indian art print interpreting Ardhanarishvara, the union of Shiva and Parvati in a single form. Paired blue shapes meet within a pale fabric square, while an embroidered textile below introduces intricate pattern and ornament. Deep navy and burgundy sit against a warm terracotta ground, bringing contrasting elements into a considered balance.
Reproduced from an original SAVAAI collage of fabric and paper, the print preserves the weave, raw edges and decorative detail of the handmade work. Through the relationship between simple geometry and elaborate textile, an inherited idea of unity finds a contemporary expression—inviting reflection on how differences can belong within one whole.
